The number of new infections is constantly increasing in Upper Austria. 1,301 cases were reported on Sunday, up 135 from Sunday a week ago. 137 patients were in one of the hospitals yesterday, nine of them in an intensive care unit. The seven-day incidence is now 725.1 per 100,000 people.
Vienna still has the highest value with 1099.7, followed by Lower Austria (889.9) and Burgenland (838.3).
Remarkable: In Tyrol, the vaccination requirement for newly hired hospital staff will be abolished again. With the same qualifications, however, the vaccinated applicant gets the job, according to a spokeswoman for the “Tirol Kliniken”. This measure has nothing to do with the lack of staff, it was asserted.
