Regau student Gloria Staudinger became state champion in kickboxing. Gloria competed in Graz for her club Highkickgym Wien at the state championships in kickboxing and Thai boxing. In the Kicklight class she won the bronze medal, in women’s light contact (-55 kg) she won convincingly and secured the title of state champion.
After Gloria had to take a break due to injury in 2021, the comeback in the spring was extremely successful. At the Hungarian World Cup in Budapest, one of the biggest events, she took third place in the kicklight. At the German Open in Hamburg, she was second in kicklight and third in light contact. At the oö. State Championships in Enns, she became state champion in light contact.
She is trained in Vienna by the Highkickgym coaches Samir and Lisa Kössler. Companies from Regau are supporting Gloria this season. The state champion is happy about additional sponsors to be able to cover the costs for training, equipment and travel to the competitions.
