Second-division soccer team Vorwarts Steyr will continue to play their home games in the venerable stadium on Volksstrasse. From now on the stadium will be called Liwest Arena. After years of loyalty as a sponsor, LIWEST is taking the next step with this expansion.
“The fact that Liwest is now intensifying sponsorship is confirmation for us that we are doing a lot right,” says SKV Vice President Michael Obermair. “LIWEST takes the opportunity to work with us to create something great on Volksstrasse.”
“We are looking forward to more intensive cooperation with the traditional Steyr club and to many exciting home games in the LIWEST Arena,” says Stefan Gintenreiter, Managing Director of Liwest. The first home game with the new stadium sponsor is on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 6:10 p.m. against the Rapid Wien amateur team.
