New market app for the city of Steyr

Students at the University of Applied Sciences (FH) Steyr, majoring in Marketing and Electronic Business, were commissioned to carry out an opinion poll on the introduction of a market app at the Steyr weekly markets. The result and a rough concept for such a platform were presented to the political mandataries on June 30th. The feedback from the survey is consistently positive. The aim of the app is to make the market more attractive for customers and to increase purchasing power. There should be cooperation with various specialist departments of the municipal authorities of the city of Steyr. Trade and gastronomy should benefit indirectly from this innovation.

“I am very happy that I commissioned the students at Steyr University of Applied Sciences to work on this project with me. They did a great job and were very enthusiastic about it. Since the overall concept of the students can be used as the basis for the market app, this means cost savings for us,” explains Evelyn Kattnigg (FP), the city councilor responsible for the market system in the city of Steyr.
