As of the second quarter of next year, the company will move to Eberstalzell, as announced yesterday, Friday, in a broadcast. The groundbreaking took place on Thursday.
The new technology center has around 8,000 square meters of factory space and around 2,000 square meters of office space. There was no information on the investment amount. The demand for the technologies has brought the previous location in Sipbachzell to the capacity limits, it is said. According to the company register, Swisslog employed 74 people in Sipbachzell with a turnover of 9.6 million euros.
Swisslog specializes in data and robot-driven intralogistics solutions for retail and the food industry. Customers include, for example, Rewe, Nestlé and dm.
The Swiss parent company belongs to the German robotics and automation group Kuka, which in turn is part of the Chinese Midea group.
