The rustic four-wheel drive is considered an icon of US off-road vehicles. Launched in 1966, the Bronco drove into a museum in 1996 after five model generations. In 2021, Ford revived the legend and resurrected the classic in three and five-door versions, measuring 4.44 and 5.05 meters in length respectively. A 2.3 or 3.0 liter engine with 201 to 312 kW (273 to 424 hp) is installed.
After the brilliant comeback in the USA, Ford has now decided to export the Bronco to Europe as well. In 2023, a limited number of the five-door will also come to Austria. The Americans are silent about which engine variants will be available. Just so much: On board will be many assistance systems and seven driving programs that are nicknamed “GOAT” (“Goes Over Any Terrain”). Most body components such as the hard top can be removed and the doors can be removed. All-wheel drive is standard.
