As reported, twelve fire brigades moved to the square courtyard near Linz Airport. Around 8:40 p.m., residents heard a loud bang. When they looked, they saw the fire. A tractor that had just been parked in the hall was fully engulfed in fire. When the first emergency services arrived, the fire had already spread to the machine hall and the roof structure. However, they were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building. No one was injured, and animals were not in danger either.
On Sunday, the police announced details of the cause of the fire: “A chafed hydraulic line with subsequent hydraulic oil leaking onto hot parts of the tractor,” the statement said. Arson is excluded.
