a report reveals systematic flaws in police action

According to the document, of the 376 agents who attended the scene of the shooting149 were from the Border Patrol of USA14 were from the Department of Homeland Security and 91 were from the Texas Department of Public Safety, while the others belonged to municipal agencies, according to the ANSA news agency.

The nearly 80-page report, so far the most accurate account of the poor response to the attack, was released by the commission to the families of the victims, that since the massacre they ask to account for the responsibility for the inaction of the agents while the murderer continued to kill inside the school establishment.

The document is described as an “interim report” and the commission of inquiry maintains that its work remains incomplete and that several investigations are ongoing.

It is the first time since the May 24 shooting at Robb Elementary School that a government report has offered a comprehensive look at the shooting and the much-criticized law enforcement response.

The Uvalde Massacre took place at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The attacker, who was killed, was called Salvador Rolando Ramos and was 18 years old. Before starting the shooting, Ramos had seriously injured his grandmother in his house.

Then, he went to the school and opened fire from outside. Once inside, he locked himself in a classroom and killed everyone present with an AR-15 rifle. He remained barricaded for about an hour, until he was shot down by a US Border Patrol Tactical Unit.
