Wels Strom expands e-car sharing. For the fifth anniversary of shared mobility from the company’s point of view, a sixth location was opened in Wiesenstrasse. Because more and more people from Wels are showing interest in zero-emission, cost-effective and shared mobility.
“The e-car sharing users were enthusiastic about the new location and have already eagerly booked the latest Renault ZOE. Many new users have registered in the past few weeks,” says Lothar Müller, head of the division. The entire offer in the city was doubled by the new location from initially three to now six vehicles. E-car sharing is the cheapest form of transportation because only the kilometers driven count. Acquisition and maintenance costs are included proportionately. Anyone who does not depend on the car every day not only saves a lot of money with e-car sharing, but also pays attention to the environment.
The six cars – five Renault ZOE and a spacious Nissan NV200 – are spread out across the city. After registering and a short training session, you can conveniently book the cars online and put them into operation with a card.
Billing is automated. With a one-off payment of ten euros, the card can be used to refuel Europe-wide at the fixed Wels electricity tariff. Charging in the city is comparatively convenient. Wels has the densest e-charging station network in Austria.
