The school festival at the Europagymnasium vom Guten Hirten in Baumgartenberg was held with a sporting bias in a positive sense. In addition to the stage program and hospitality, the starting shot was also given for a fundraising run in favor of the Ukraine aid. The goal was to cover a total distance of 1,500 kilometers on a 700-meter lap through the monastery garden – roughly the distance from Baumgartenberg to Kyiv. This goal was exceeded by far: In total, more than 2000 kilometers were covered, which means that one would have come to Donetsk. With the active help of sponsors from the private environment of the students, the considerable donation sum of 24,000 euros could be transferred to the Upper Austrian aid organization SUNUA.
