In the letter, López Obrador – who visited Biden in Washington last week – told him that stopping him “was going to mean a permanent affront to the freedom of expression and freedom.” He also reiterated Mexico’s offer to provide “protection and asylum” to the 50-year-old Australian.
The Mexican president stressed that Biden has not yet responded to the letter. “I have to be respectful, I have to wait for him to analyze it and give the times,” he added.
What does the US accuse Assange of?
