The moment in which Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is arrested.
Ocasio-Cortez “was arrested” by police officers for civil disobedience, reported his communication team through social networks. In a video broadcast on local medias a police officer is seen escorting Ocasio-Cortez(who was wearing a green scarf on the neck, a symbol of the right to access abortion) so that leave the protest in Washington.
“Today I was arrested while participating in a civil disobedience action with my fellow members of Congress outside the Supreme Court,” tweeted Ilhan Omar and added: “I will continue to do everything in my power to generate alarm about the attack on our reproductive rights!”

In addition to Ocasio-Cortez and Omar, other legislators were also removed of the demonstration. Among them are: Carolyn Maloney, Nydia Velazquez, Jackie Speier, and Bonnie Watson Coleman.
Maloney said in a statement that “There is no democracy if women do not have control over their own bodies nor can they decide about their own health, including reproductive care. The Republican Party and right-wing extremists behind this decision are not in favor of life, but in favor of control of the bodies of women, girls and anyone who can become pregnant”.
Last June 24, the Supreme Court of Justice determined that access to abortion is not a constitutional right federal and left the question to the legislation of each state. A majority of six conservative justices annulled the 1973 ruling that interpreted the voluntary termination of pregnancy it was a constitutional right.
