93 years after its founding, the Rotary Club Bad Ischl has missed a female leadership for the first time. Gudrun Peter, the landlady of the traditional Hotel Weißes Rössl in St. Wolfgang, took over the presidency from Bad Ischl architect Christian Neureiter.
In her year as president, Gudrun Peter will focus in particular on appreciation and respect for people. Putting crafts in the right light and training apprentices in our region is a major concern for the new president.
The Bittner millinery in Bad Ischl, the craft shop in Bad Goisern and the Müllnerbräu in Salzburg are all on her list of visits. The club program is rounded off with a series of specialist lectures.
A highlight in the annual program will again be the traditional St. Nicholas concert on December 7th with star guest Manuel Randi in the parish church of Bad Ischl. Manuel Randi is the star guitarist of various formations around Herbert Pixner. As always, the net proceeds are used for the benefit of children.
