A 14-month-old baby was found dead this Wednesday in a car in the parking lot of the company where his father worked in St. Bordes, Atlantic Pyrenees, France.
The child’s father, an employee of the aviation company Safran, will forget to leave the child in kindergarten before leaving for work.
“An early investigation suggests that the child died of asphyxia and dehydration,” Prosecutor Cécile Jensac said in a press release. Le Figaro.
The mother alerted the authorities when she noticed that her son was not in the kindergarten.
Firefighters arrived at the scene around 5:00 p.m. and carried out resuscitation measures, which were unsuccessful.
A murder investigation has been launched, but the parents of the child do not have criminal record.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine the cause of death.
