US President Joe Biden tweeted this Thursday that he was “doing well” after testing positive for COVID-19, while the White House said he had “very mild symptoms.”
“Guys, I’m fine. Thank you for your concern,” Biden tweeted after a White House press secretary revealed that the president was already taking Paxlovid, an antiviral drug to reduce the severity of symptoms of the disease.
According to the White House, Biden has “very mild symptoms” and will be isolated while “continuing to fully perform all of his duties,” namely video and telephone meetings.
People, I’m doing great. Thank you for your concern. Just called Senator Casey, Congressman Cartwright and Mayor Cognetti (and my cousins from Scranton!) to express my regret that I missed our event today.
