But the driver accelerated – a 22-year-old from the Wels-Land district (as it later turned out) was traveling west on the Schmierndorferstrasse in Wels with three other people in the car. The man then turned south onto Albrechtstrasse without indicating.
The police turned on the flashing lights to stop the car. However, this was ignored by the driver. Shortly thereafter, he accelerated his car and drove west along the European route at significantly excessive speed. He overtook several cars despite the restricted line and restricted area, gave priority to a car in the roundabout and fled on. In front of another roundabout, the 22-year-old overtook despite oncoming traffic, so that he had to brake hard. The patrol eventually lost sight of the car.
However, the man was quickly found out after an authorization request and the police officers clearly recognized him as the driver. The 22-year-old does not have a valid driver’s license because it has already been provisionally taken away from him. He is shown.
