The 25-year-old crossed the finish line with the peloton on Sunday’s final stage in Paris and, as expected, successfully defended his yellow jersey. Jasper Philipsen won the 115.6 kilometer final stage. The Belgian prevailed on the Champs-Élysées in a bunch sprint ahead of Dutchman Dylan Groenewegen. Third was the Norwegian Alexander Kristoff.
In addition to the yellow jersey, Vingegaard also won the red polka dot jersey for the best climber. The Belgian Wout van Aert, Vingegaard’s teammate at Jumbo-Visma, won the green jersey for the points with the best points.
