It’s going to be really hot again at the start of the week: Thanks to the subtropical air from the south-west, temperatures will rise to up to 36 degrees across the country on Monday. During the night, a current from the west pushes over Upper Austria, which will bring a slight cooling throughout the week.

Thunderstorm warning for Monday

However, the meeting of the weather fronts causes thunderstorms, some of them violent, in the evening hours on Monday. Flooding could occur in places due to heavy rain. The westerly wind is also freshening up, so that trees can fall over. The fire brigades are likely to have another busy night ahead.
