While the first new wavy seating furniture has only just been set up in Linz, the Linz FPÖ already has an idea for other seating options. Those from cities in coastal regions of the Adriatic and the Mediterranean serve as a model for this. “There are always benches with solar panels on the seats. In this way, the benches can contribute to generating electricity without having to seal new areas,” says parliamentary group leader Wolfgang Grabmayr.
The project is to be financed via the climate fund, and the energy generated is to be fed into the Linz AG network. Grabmayr suggests the Donaulände as a possible location: “If we really want to be the innovation capital in Linz, then we have to be one step ahead when it comes to energy production.”
