Leonding gears up for Christmas

“The early bird catches the worm” is just as appropriate a saying here as “Preparation is half the battle”. While the thought of Christmas is still miles away for many in the summer heat of these days, preparations for the Christmas season are already being made in Leonding. Of course, beautifully decorated Christmas trees should not be missing, these are traditionally set up on the town square near the town hall and on the town square in Doppl.

In order not to experience any nasty surprises, the employees of the city service are already looking for suitable trees, two pieces are still missing, as it says in the current community letter. So if you have a conifer in your garden that needs to be felled anyway, you are cordially invited to contact the city service. The minimum requirement for future Leondinger Christmas trees: they must be at least ten meters high. If necessary, the felling and transport will be organized by the city service.

As reported, the search for a Christmas tree for the main square in Enns was quite a difficult undertaking last year, because at the end of October there was still no suitable tree. A call finally brought the desired success, but with a small “blemish”. So the last Christmas tree in Enns did not come from the town itself, as usual, but from neighboring Kronstorf. But that didn’t detract from the joy of Christmas.
