With the Braunau Cycling Days, one of the largest cycling events in Upper Austria will be held in the region on August 27th and 28th: cycling at an international level – the pros will be on their way through Braunau at top speeds of around 50 km/h at the inner-city criterium.
The Braunau Cycling Days will open on Saturday, August 27, at 4 p.m. on the Braunau town square with a novelty in the Braunau/Simbach region: this year, for the first time, children with balance bikes can also take part in a Raiffeisen children’s cycle race. The start is at the height of the Gugg Lounge in Linzerstraße. The children’s races with pedal bikes take place in three age groups directly in front of Braunau town hall. All participants will receive commemorative medals and a scoop of ice cream. The cycling scene’s hunt for the trophies begins at 4:20 p.m. with hobby cyclists covering 15 laps totaling 18.5 kilometers. At 5 p.m. the starting signal for the Austrian Cup race for women will be given. At 6 p.m., the elite, U23 and amateur drivers start the race over 40 laps with a total distance of 49.2 kilometers.
Starting at Schlossberg Ranshofen, the Elite and U23 classes will be fighting for the Borbet Austria prize in a road race over ten laps over a distance of 130 kilometers on Sunday, August 28th, starting at 11 a.m. You can register for all events at: www.computerauswertung.at.
