Porsche entry at Red Bull imminent

According to the report, Porsche is entering into a 10-year collaboration with Red Bull that includes the acquisition of 50 percent of the Formula 1 operation. The cooperation should therefore be officially announced on August 4th.

The specialist portal refers to the competition authority in Morocco, which is said to have published the relevant documents after the legally required examination. No further information was given about this publication. It is not clear which Red Bull companies are affected in the Formula 1 environment.

The companies Red Bull Racing, Red Bull Technology and the engine manufacturers Red Bull Powertrains and Red Bull Powertrains 2026, which are held by Red Bull under Managing Director Dietrich Mateschitz, currently appear in the British commercial register. In addition, Red Bull operates a second Formula 1 racing team, AlphaTauri.

According to unconfirmed information, the collaboration with Porsche should have been announced at the Austrian Grand Prix. Before the race in Spielberg, however, Red Bull motorsport consultant Helmut Marko had stated that the Formula 1 engine regulations had to be finalized from 2026 for the entry of the VW Group, to which Porsche belongs. “I only know so much that the VW Group will get involved when the regulations are set. That is not the case yet,” Marko told APA in early July. “It’s realistic in the fall.”
