British tourist killed by helicopter propeller in Greece

A British tourist was killed Monday after being struck by a helicopter blade near Athens, Greece. According to heavenly news, Jack Fenton was 22 years old.

The British newspaper points out that the young man was returning from a vacation in Mykonos with three friends, with his parents following him by helicopter.

The tragedy occurred when the victim was leaving the helicopter in Spata, not far from the capital. Fenton is said to have walked behind, unaware that the propellers were still turning. The helicopter followed by their family members was modified so that they would not see their son in such a situation.

Union Police Chief, Giorgos Kalliakmanis says the pilot will be investigated to find out if he advised the passenger to get off before the propellers stopped spinning.

“These propellers run for about two minutes from the moment he turns off the engine, unless he presses a button that will stop them in 50 seconds,” Kalliakmanis said. “The helicopter door is not guarded, whoever wants to open the door and leave.
