At around 3:20 p.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of the A25 exit and the B137: For reasons that are still unclear, the Seat of a 25-year-old who had just left the autobahn and the Mercedes of a 26-year-old who was on the B137 collided headed north together.
The force of the impact threw the young woman’s car from the Wels-Land district across the road into the ditch on the opposite side. The driver’s car came to a standstill on a traffic island.
The 25-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries, the police said in a broadcast in the evening. She had lost consciousness in the accident and had to be rescued from the wreck by the Wels fire department. After being treated by the emergency doctor, she was taken to the Wels Clinic, as was her opponent in the accident.
Innviertler Straße had to be closed in the affected area for the duration of the operation and the recording of the accident. There were significant traffic jams in all directions.
