This is equipped with twelve refrigerated compartments and 21 non-refrigerated compartments.
The Südbahnhofmarkt thus offers all of its suppliers and shippers their own online order shop. There, customers can order goods 24 hours a day, seven days a week, pay online and pick up the products at the pick-up station without being tied to the shop opening hours.
App is required for use
The whole thing works via an app, so a smartphone or tablet is a prerequisite for use. About a dozen of the entrepreneurs or feeders at the market are already actively registered at the collection station – this also makes services such as click and collect possible.
The project is a building block of the “Südbahnhofmarkt Digital” concept, for market officer Doris Lang-Mayerhofer (VP) the market can “thrive outside of market hours” with this innovation. The additional offer also has the potential to open up new customer groups. Heinrich Schaller, General Director of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich, is also convinced of the great importance of this digital expansion of the market offering. The next steps at Südbahnhofmarkt include the establishment of an analogue and digital signage system and increased communication via social media.
