Kobernausserwald watchtower in Lohnsburg: At the “summit” of the Lohnsburger Steiglberg (767 meters), the highest point of the Kobernausserwald, the Kobernausserwaldwarte conveys the enormous extent of the Kobernausserwald and opens up the view of the southern chain of the Alps. After inserting a coin, the viewing platform is accessible at a height of 30 meters via 125 steps. In the stairway of the control room, built in 1969, there is a regularly redesigned gallery in the tower.

Viewpoints in the Sauwald: The lookout tower built in 1931 on the Schardenberger Fronberg, which opens up a view over large parts of the Innviertel and neighboring Bavaria, is currently closed due to construction work. A great alternative view including a treetop path can be found in the form of the Kopfinger Baumkronenweg.

New observation tower in Obernberg: The newest observation tower in the Innviertel on the Obernberg castle grounds is 26 meters high – near the Inn and neighboring Bavaria. On a clear day you can see as far as the Bohemian Forest, the Salzburg and Berchtesgadener Lands and the Dead Mountains.
