Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) emphasized the cross-border cooperation in a broadcast. “The Austrian state security authorities are closely monitoring developments in the Islamist scene and are conducting structural investigations in close cooperation with European authorities.” The minister wished the injured Cobra officer a speedy recovery.
