A 32-year-old aggressive customer injured a policewoman in Schalchen (Braunau district) when he escaped on Friday evening. He kneed the officer and scratched her arm. A short time later he kicked her in the shoulder with full force. The police officer was injured and taken to the hospital.
The 32-year-old was finally stopped by a resident and held in place until the police arrived. He was arrested, police reported. Witnesses called the police on Friday evening because a 32-year-old behaved aggressively in a shop in Schalchen. When officers arrived to determine the man’s identity, he ran away. During his escape through various gardens in the municipality of Schalchen, he threw away several objects – including a bag that contained stolen goods from a burglary on the same day.
In the village of Auffang, police officers noticed the man again and asked him to stop. But he ignored this and attacked the officers. After a scuffle in which he attacked the police officer, he was able to flee again. She was kicked in the shoulder while crossing a garden fence. He then continued through a hedge before the resident could stop him. The 32-year-old was arrested and taken to the police station for questioning. The investigation was still ongoing as of Saturday.
