The second round game on Sunday between Austria and LASK ended 1-1 – off the pitch it was less Solomonic. As the police reported on Monday, there were clashes between supporters around 7 p.m. in Vienna-Favoriten.
Two LASK fans (21 and 22 years old) were injured. The 21-year-old is said to have been on his way to the distribution group when several people ran towards him. According to the police, the man fell not far from the city hiking trail, after which five people kicked his head. He sustained injuries to his shoulder and neck.
A beer can is said to have been thrown in the face of the 22-year-old in the subway station, causing minor injuries. The police arrested two suspected Austria supporters (21 and 25).
