At the Friday the sunshine continues to prevail in many parts of Austria. Often there are only a few clouds and it gets very hot in general. In the western half, with the approach of a front system, it is already starting to swell more during the day and numerous rain showers and thunderstorms are forming in the afternoon and evening. Sometimes these can be violent. In the eastern half, however, the sun shines undisturbed until the evening. The wind will blow weakly from different directions, in the Danube region westerly winds will freshen up in the evening. The morning temperatures are 13 to 22 degrees, the maximum daily temperatures are 30 to 37 degrees. A maximum of 35 degrees is expected in Upper Austria.
Cold front on Saturday
At the Saturday a cold front settles over Austria. Numerous rain showers will arrive or form, especially in the southern half, numerous thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon. In between the sun shines, most of the clouds stay in the mountains on the north side of the Alps. In the eastern parts of the country, the wind blows moderately to briskly from north-west to north, otherwise the wind tends to be weak. From 15 to 24 degrees in the morning, the temperatures rise to a very muggy 23 to 31 degrees.

Pleasant temperatures at the beginning of the week
The new week starts on Monday often cloudy due to weak interference, only quite sunny from the early morning in the far west. There may be showers overnight, especially in the south and east. During the day, the air mass remains susceptible to a few showers and thunderstorms, at least in the central and southern highlands. In between, the sun is also getting involved, especially from the north-west. The wind will be light to moderate, mainly northwest to east. It’s 12 to 18 degrees in the morning and around 20 to 27 degrees during the day, depending on the sun.
For Tuesday according to ZAMG, a small-scale low-pressure vortex in higher air layers does not yet allow for precise forecasts. At least in the west and southwest there will probably be more sun than last and only a few isolated showers or thunderstorm cells. In the north and east larger areas of cloud cover and regionally also increased willingness to rain are to be expected, the sun can only make itself felt hesitantly there. In the eastern lowlands, moderate, sometimes quite brisk winds are blowing from the north, otherwise the wind field close to the ground is rather weak. The morning temperatures range from 11 to 17, the maximum daily temperatures often only around 20 to 26 degrees, in the west locally around 28 degrees.
