It was only in May 2021 that the Disney actress and singer changed her pronoun to “they/them” – as an expression of the fact that she cannot identify with the traditional gender classification. Recently, however, she has increasingly felt that she belongs to the female gender. Lovato said in a podcast on Tuesday that she had “felt more feminine again lately” and adopted the pronouns “she/her” again.
The 29-year-old went on to explain that she is an “extremely fluid personality”. The decision to enter a men’s or women’s toilet was difficult for her. “I didn’t really feel like a man, and I didn’t really feel like a woman. I felt like a human being,” said Demi Lovato.
When she came out as non-binary last year, she said, “Putting that publicly takes me to another level of vulnerability and vulnerability.” The US superstar does this for those “who have not been able to tell those around them who they really are”.
