Around 11 p.m., the 14-year-old daughter heard her parents arguing in the apartment in St. Florian am Inn. When she saw her injured father, she called for an ambulance. When the police arrived, the mother provided first aid. She confessed to the crime and was arrested. The man underwent emergency surgery in Passau.
The woman told the police that the motive was pent-up anger and rage due to long-standing relationship problems. During the detention hearing, she said that she had memory gaps, but based on the circumstances, she herself assumed that she had committed the crime. The 31-year-old was remanded in custody – initially until August 18.
