Supreme refuses to keep little Archie on life support.  Machines will be turned off this Wednesday for a 12-year-old boy who has been brain dead since April.

The trial involving Archie Battersby, a 12-year-old who has been brain dead since April, ended on Tuesday after the Supreme Court ruled that life support machines were turned off. according to Mirrorthe machines were supposed to be turned off at 2 pm last Monday.

Archie’s family filed an urgent appeal Tuesday afternoon, minutes before the final decision. The child’s mother said she felt “disappointed” and “betrayed” by what had happened.

Doctors have previously said they will begin “withdrawal of treatment” from 12:00 on Tuesday. However, they were waiting for the final verdict in order to receive instructions. Lawyers for Archie’s parents call the decision of the British court “a flagrant violation of international law.”

According to a British newspaper, the family wants the child to be transferred to another hospital so that he “dies in peace.” According to sky newsthe child’s mother said the machines would be turned off next Wednesday.

Archie was found unconscious by his mother. The child was tied to a bandage that would have taken his breath away. It is suspected that this was the result of a suicide report circulating on the Internet.
