Whether scrambled egg robots or a regional punk rock festival – innovations are in demand in domestic tourism, as in every industry. “The industry is facing growing customer requirements and expectations with increasing quality standards,” said Economics Minister Markus Achleitner (VP) on Friday.
For this reason, the tourism incubator – a start-up program for start-ups in the state of Upper Austria – is entering the second round this year. Last year, eight different companies were accompanied by experts for a year and supported in the foundation of the first edition.
Robots and Regionality
This year, too, there is great diversity among the participating companies. “Robotic Kitchen” from Neuzeug in the Steyr-Land district wants to use a robot to completely automate the preparation of scrambled eggs and thus also alleviate the shortage of staff in the catering trade.
Sbäm, a music organizer from Linz, also relies on regionality in all areas when planning its international festivals. “The entire production of the festival takes place exclusively in cooperation with Upper Austrian partners,” says founder Stefan Beham.
