As in her first marriage, the native of Upper Austria has a double name and is now called Susanne Riess-Hahn. From 1995 to 2011 she was married to the tax consultant and former Deputy Mayor of Innsbruck, Michael Passer. She has been in a relationship with Johannes Hahn since 2015 after they met through mutual friends.
