The last meeting of the feuding families took place last Friday at around 5:45 p.m. at a gas station in Braunau. A 42-year-old and a 44-year-old Russian approached a 44-year-old man and his 20-year-old son.
There was a brief scuffle between the 42-year-old and the 44-year-old, in which both tried to punch each other. The 42-year-old then pulled out a knife and stabbed his opponent several times. The 44-year-old father suffered two stab wounds, which the hospital said were not life-threatening. The 20-year-old then pushed his way between the attacker and his father. In the scuffle that followed, he was injured to an unspecified degree.
The 42-year-old left his victim and fled in his car. The stabber’s 44-year-old friend stayed at the scene. The 20-year-old and other witnesses inform the police. The attacker was located in his car around 6:35 p.m. in the city of Braunau and arrested. The friend of the attacker was also provisionally arrested.
During the investigation during the night, the 20-year-old son of the 42-year-old was threatened with killing by the 18-year-old son of the stabber during a phone call.
