The collection of declarations of support will start on Tuesday. Because in order to be able to compete in the election, each candidate must submit at least 6,000 such declarations by September 2nd. For FPÖ candidate Walter rosarywhose party is the only one of the parliamentary groups to have nominated a candidate, exceeding the 6,000 mark will probably not be a hurdle.
However, Rosenkranz cannot go into this phase completely calmly. As reported, the FPÖ has had turbulent days. was last week Hans-Joerg Jenewein, a close confidante of FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl, left the party. Only a few days later, Jenewein was admitted to the hospital. He was found unconscious in his home in Lower Austria.
The press conference with Walter Rosenkranz was originally supposed to take place yesterday, but the date was then postponed by one day. The blue presidential candidate will speak from 10.30 a.m. about his “path to the federal presidency”.
