A 45-year-old from the Braunau district drove his car in Altheim on Monday evening on Bahnhofstrasse towards the B141. He stopped his car at the intersection and then turned left. At the same time, a 42-year-old from the Ried district steered his motorcycle from the roundabout on the B148 onto the B141 in the direction of Polling im Innkreis.
The motorcyclist could only partially avoid the turning car and crashed into the rear. The 42-year-old fell and was slightly injured. He refrained from treatment on site and was taken to the Ried im Innkreis hospital by relatives. An alcohol test carried out on the 45-year-old resulted in a blood alcohol content of 1.32. His driver’s license was temporarily taken away and he was forbidden to continue driving.
