In Krispl (Tennengau) on Wednesday afternoon, a car fell about 25 meters over a steep embankment and landed in a stream. The car got stuck at a bottleneck in waist-deep water, as the Salzburg water rescue service informed. The injured driver, an 18-year-old from Tennengau, still had enough strength to climb up the rocky slope of the chasm to the Krispler Landesstraße. The Red Cross gave him first aid there.
According to the police, the young man was not under the influence of alcohol. It is not yet known why the car left the roadway. The wreck was recovered from the “Mörtlbach” by firefighters and water rescuers with the help of a crane.
