These are the new Galaxy products from Samsung

At its own event entitled Galaxy Unpacked 2022, the South Korean manufacturer had four new products ready on Wednesday. The new devices at a glance:

1. Galaxy Z Fold4: Samsung is promoting its new folding smartphone as a “PC for your pocket”. A Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor provides the necessary power. The OLED displays have 6.2 inches and a resolution of 2316 × 904 pixels (outside) or 7.6 inches and 2176 × 1812 pixels (inside). Samsung has also revised the camera module: On the back there is now a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 10-MP telephoto lens with triple optical zoom and a 12-MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The front display has a 10 MP camera and a 4 MP selfie camera hidden under the display. Samsung paid special attention to multitasking with the Fold4. Thanks to new software, a taskbar is now displayed for certain apps, which should make it easier to switch between applications quickly. The Fold4 is 8 grams lighter than its predecessor, the Fold3. The starting price is 1799 euros.
   

   

2. Galaxy Z Flip4: Unlike the Fold4, which expands from smartphone to tablet size by unfolding, the Flip4 is a 6.7-inch (2640 x 1080 pixels) display smartphone that can be folded. On the outside there is a 1.9-inch touch display with 260 × 512 pixels. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is also used in the Flip4. The wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle cameras each have a resolution of 12 megapixels, and the front camera has a resolution of 10 MP. Above all, Samsung wants to appeal to the younger target group with the Flip4, so the software should be specially geared towards social media apps such as Instagram, Facebook and Co. Here, too, the starting price is already in four figures: the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is available from 1099 euros.
3. Galaxy Buds 2 Pro: The in-ear headphones with active noise cancellation are now also available in the Pro version. The new models are said to be 15 percent more compact than their predecessors. With activated noise cancellation, a battery charge should allow five hours of music enjoyment, without noise canceling up to eight hours. The Galaxy Buds2 Pro cost 229 euros.
   

   

4. Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro: The Watch5 is equipped with Samsung’s BioActive sensor, which can measure heart rate, blood oxygen levels and stress levels. Thanks to an enlarged surface, the sensor should now deliver more accurate measurement results. According to Samsung, the battery is 13 percent larger than in the previous model. Thanks to its high-quality workmanship and the more powerful battery, the Pro model is particularly suitable for outdoor athletes. The Galaxy Watch5 is available from 299 euros, the Pro version from 469 euros.
