The woman left together with her boyfriend the prepared glacier path in the area of the Seethalerhütte and went towards the Simonyhütte without a rope and glacier equipment, the police reported on Thursday evening. Suddenly a snow bridge collapsed on the edge of a crevasse and the Czech fell into the depths. At the bottom of the fissure was another fissure about 40 cm wide, into which she slid further. Overall, she was at a depth of about 18 meters.
Hut landlord and mountain guide helped immediately
Her friend immediately got the landlord of the Seethalerhütte to help. This made an alpine emergency call and rushed to help. When the men had found the crevasse again, the innkeeper and a mountain guide, who had meanwhile also rushed to help, lowered a rope. The 24-year-old was rescued unharmed.
The emergency doctor helicopter that had landed in the meantime was therefore not needed, and the couple was brought back to the prepared glacier path with the Skidoo.
