This is the result of a recent study conducted by the French car manufacturer Citroën in Great Britain in the spring; In March and April 2000, parents who had switched from a combustion engine to a car with an electric or hybrid drive were surveyed.
Specifically, 56.4 percent of those surveyed stated that their child could fall asleep faster or just as easily in the new car as in the previous petrol or diesel engine.
The most important factors parents say help babies and toddlers fall asleep while driving are the vehicle’s smooth movements (46 percent), a comfortable temperature (41 percent) and a comfortable seat (40 percent).
More than a third (34 percent) said a quiet, smooth drive was the most important factor in helping them fall asleep.
