There was a police operation on Saturday around four in the morning in the south of Linz: After the 51-year-old girlfriend of a 41-year-old man from Mühlviertel kissed a stranger, several people clashed in a bar in the Neue Heimat district. Several people involved were injured, some seriously, in the course of the altercation.
When the police arrived, there were around 50 people in front of the restaurant. A 41-year-old participant refused to reveal his identity. Because he behaved increasingly aggressively, the man was arrested and taken to the police detention center in Linz. When he was arrested, he tore a police officer to the ground, and the officer was also injured. The police announced on Saturday evening that further surveys would follow.
