‘You’re next’: J.K. Rowling threatened to die after posting on Twitter

JK Rowling, the author of the famous Harry Potter books, received death threats on her social networking site Twitter after she mourned the attack on fellow writer Salman Rushdie.

“I feel very bad. I hope he gets better, ”JK Rowling wrote in a publication after learning about what happened in New York.

“Don’t worry, you’re next,” replied a netizen named Meer Asif Aziz, who says he is a social and political activist.

After the threat, JK Rowling turned to Twitter for help. “Are there any chances for support?” she wrote in another publication, also sharing a photo of the man who threatened her with another author of the attack on Salman Rushdie.

“This man’s name is Hadi Matar. He is a Shia revolutionary who followed the fatwa of the late Ayatollah Rohullah Khomeini.”
