The seven-day incidence dropped to 415 cases per 100,000 population. Three Covid deaths have been added since the previous day, a total of 77 within a week. There are still 1,238 people in the hospital, eleven fewer than on Sunday.
However, the decline in patients only affects Vienna, all other federal states have reported the same occupancy rate since Friday as on the past weekends and now also on public holidays. 68 people are still being cared for in intensive care units. Since the previous day, this number has also fallen by six occupied beds only due to the reports from Vienna alone and has fallen by 13 patients within a week.

The 3,008 new infections in 29,270 PCR tests mean a positive rate of 10.3 percent. Burgenland reported 99 more infections, Carinthia 275 and Lower Austria 789. In Upper Austria there were 387 positive tests, in Salzburg 178 and in Styria 202. Tyrol reported 145 new cases, Vorarlberg 78 and Vienna 855.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 4,828,503 confirmed cases in Austria, according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior and Health. 4,734,035 people have had one or more infections, and 4,298 are considered free of the virus within the past 24 hours. As of Monday there were 75,191 active cases in Austria, 1,293 fewer currently infected than the day before.
