Lots of news at the city championship

A total of 20 classes are advertised for women, men and youth, from youth U12 to seniors 70 plus. The organizers are coming up with some innovations this year. For the first time, the tournament is included in the tournament calendar of the tennis association, which allows players to improve their personal ITN (International Tennis Number, similar to the handicap in golf) at the tournament.

Two general competitions are held for players who are neither registered with a Steyr club nor live in the city. A mixed doubles should also take place for the first time. “We want to offer the Steyr tennis players a big tennis festival,” says UTC chairman Philipp Infanger.
