Sporty Innviertlers of all ages meet on Saturday, August 27, from 3:30 p.m. for the Rieder Weberzeile city run. The new route leads through the city center and the Weberzeile shopping center again. Up to five times, depending on age, competition and performance class, all running enthusiasts can take part in the circuit through the city.
The LAG Genböck Haus Ried team has been working feverishly for weeks on the preparations to organize a special running event for the entire region again this year. Under the motto “Participating is more important than winning”, all runners who reach the finish line receive a finisher’s medal. Six age-appropriate running competitions for children and young people from six to 16 years, a newly created walking competition over 2.9 kilometers, the Hervis and company run over 4.3 kilometers and the Weberzeile main run with 7.2 kilometers offer a feasible one for everyone Challenge.
Colorful supporting program
The Rieder enjoyment market on the main square, a raffle, face painting, a photo box in the Weberzeile and a stadium atmosphere at the start and finish area make August 27th a running festival for the whole family. So not only taking part, but also watching and cheering becomes an experience. “The training together, the noticeable improvement in health and fitness and the atmosphere during the event are special moments that motivate us,” says Christoph Vormair, Center Manager Weberzeile.
Registration for the Rieder Stadtlauf is possible until Friday, August 26 at 4 p.m. at www.rieder-stadtlauf.at. The start numbers will be handed out on August 27th, from 1.30 p.m., directly in the Weberzeile. More information at www.rieder-stadtlauf.at.
