Northern Burgenland, Vienna and parts of Lower Austria are likely to be affected, the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) announced on Sunday.
At the Monday Accordingly, stronger rain bands are moving above all over Lower Austria and Vienna. Otherwise, the sky over the eastern half of Austria often remains cloudy and it rains at times. It is friendlier only in the west, where the sun shines much more often. The wind will blow weak to moderate, on the eastern edge of the Alps and generally on the mountains, also briskly from the north-west. The morning temperatures reach eleven to 18 degrees, the maximum daily temperatures from east to west 18 to 27 degrees.
At the Tuesday it remains with the division in Austria. In the western half, the influence of high pressure brings predominantly very sunny weather with temperatures often above the 25 degree mark. It is cooler and much more unstable to the east. Dense clouds bring rain here again and again. Most precipitation continues to fall in Lower Austria, Vienna and northern Burgenland. By the evening, the situation should slowly relax here as well. The wind will be weak to moderate from west to north. The morning temperatures climb to eleven to 17 degrees, during the day to 19 to 28 degrees, with the highest temperatures in the west.
The starts in the east and south-east Wednesday still with remaining clouds, everywhere else it is sunny. In the course of the day, however, quite sunny weather will prevail everywhere, even if more cumulus clouds will form in the eastern half of Austria in the afternoon. With these, the risk of showers increases again, especially over the mountains. In the far west it will remain very sunny. The wind will blow weakly, in the east sometimes moderately from the north-west. In the morning there are ten to 19 degrees, the daily highs are 23 to 30 degrees inside, with it being warmest again in the west.
At the Thursday sunny weather dominates. In the eastern half of Austria, however, there are still unstable stratified air masses and here cumulus clouds are formed again during the day as well as rain showers and thunderstorms, mainly over the mountains. It is still more stable and sunnier in the west. The wind usually blows only weakly. The early temperatures reach ten to 19 degrees, by the evening 25 to 30 degrees are expected.
At the Friday sunny and friendly weather prevails in large parts of the country. However, the air mass is unstable and in the afternoon more and more cumulus clouds will form, starting from the mountains, and the risk of showers and thunderstorms will increase. It is still a bit more stable in the far west. The wind usually blows only weakly. The morning temperatures are between eleven and 18 degrees, the maximum daily temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees.
