For the eighth time, the Irghof invites you to “Boogie in the Fields” in the romantic four-sided courtyard on Friday, August 26, from 7:30 p.m. (admission is from 5:30 p.m.). The combination of music of international format, social gatherings and culinary delights has long inspired audiences far beyond the region. The proceeds from the festival benefit the Rotary Club Braunau’s “Focus Kindergarten” social project.
With the Mojo Blues Band Austria’s figurehead number one when it comes to blues and R&B comes to the Irghof. The band around Erik Trauner has earned the highest recognition in the scene worldwide over the past 45 years. For example, the enthusiastic exclamation of the venerable Tail Dragger – one of the greatest legends of Chicago blues – has been handed down: “They’re the blackest white boys I’ve ever seen!” After 45 years “on the road” Erik Trauner and his comrades-in-arms are still not tired of celebrating their love for the blues.
Martin Smith: The German cabaret artist and keyboard virtuoso is now a regular guest on German TV and on the culture pages of major newspapers. At the same time, Martin Schmitt has managed to fill large halls in Germany with his inspiring mixture of pointed wit and rousing music.
Hot Boogie Club: What would “Boogie in the Fields” be without the Hot Boogie Club. The trio around Helmut Feitzlmayr, the musical curator of the festival, will once again ensure the well-established musical mood this year. So look forward to an intoxicating combination of music, flair and culinary delights. The team at the “Wirt z’Leithen” from Weng takes care of your physical well-being.
Tickets (advance sale 33 euros, evening box office 39 euros; children and young people up to 16 years free) for the charity festival “Boogie in the Fields” on August 26 are available from all oeticket sales outlets, the Upper Austrian Raiffeisen banks and the Rotary Club Braunau.
