Apple is expected to release the next iPhone model a little earlier than in previous years. The group announced on Wednesday a novelty event for September 7th. Even if Apple, as always, did not say what it is about, the new iPhones are traditionally presented at the September dates.
Since 2017, the group has usually presented the next iPhone generations in the second week of September, in the Corona year 2020 even in October. An extra week with the new model may have some impact on numbers for the fiscal quarter ending in late September. The iPhone is by far the most important Apple product and, for example, brought in almost half of the group’s revenues in the last quarter.
The smartphone market as a whole has recently weakened amid rising inflation and concerns about the economy. However, the two largest suppliers, Samsung and Apple, were able to expand their sales.
